The Wuo tribe in Fataleka, located in the Malaita Province today held a momentous reunion ceremony at the Tasisi community. This two-day event aimed to reconcile the tribe and reconnect their families in order to create a stronger sense of unity and preserve their cultural heritage for future generations.

The Wuo tribe, which has settlements in Fataleka, Baelelea, Baegu, and parts of North Malaita, came together for this historic gathering. The event was filled with traditional ceremonies, discussions, and a Reconnection Church Service which led by Church leaders of the tribe, as the members of the tribe sought to build stronger bonds and heal any past grievances among them.

One of the highlights of the reunion event will be a formulation of a Constitution that would serve as a guiding document for the tribe. This Constitution outlined the values, principles, and governance structure that the tribe would adhere to, ensuring a peaceful and harmonious coexistence among its members. It also emphasized the importance of preserving and passing down the tribe's cultural traditions and customs to the next generation.

As part of the reunion, the Wuo tribe will also developed a comprehensive family tree that traced each member's lineage, fostering a deeper understanding of their shared ancestry and connection.
The former premier of Malaita province, Mr Daniel Suidani, who is also a member of the Wuo tribe, was also part of the reunion ceremony. He expressed his commitment to working closely with his tribe members to preserve their tribal unity and secure a promising future for their children.

Mr Suidani said "its an emotional moment in life to be part of such a momentous occasion and will continue to pledged my unwavering support towards achieving the goals of the ceremony".
"It is an honor to be here today, celebrating our rich cultural heritage and reconnecting with our fellow Wou tribe members," Suidani said.
The two-day event ended successfully today with feasting followed by traditional dancing before home bounding.
