𝗙𝗮'𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗡𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻


THE Construction of a newly constructed concrete road at Faasitoro Auki in Malaita Province is progressing well and is expected to be completed in the coming months. This project has been funded by Australian Aid and the World Bank through the Cause Project Solomon Islands.


The Faasitoro concrete roads project commenced earlier this year and has made significant progress since its inception. The construction of this concrete road is vital for the local residents in and around Auki town and will provide a much-needed improvement in transportation infrastructure in the area.


One of the notable benefits of this project is the job opportunities it has created for the local residents living around Auki town. This has not only provided employment for the community but has also contributed to the overall economic development of the our country.


The Australian Aid and World Bank deserve recognition and gratitude for their continuous support and investment in the development and improvement of infrastructure projects in Auki. Over the past years, Auki town has greatly benefitted from the Cause Project, which has brought about significant improvements and a major facelift to the around Auki Town

The significant investment in this project reflects the commitment of the Australian government and the World Bank to support the development of Solomon Islands. By providing funding and resources to projects such as the Faasitoro concrete road, they are actively contributing to the overall growth and prosperity of these nation.

𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒐𝒏 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 ( 𝑝ℎ𝑜𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑟𝑒𝑑𝑖𝑡 𝐶𝑦𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑎 𝐴𝑔𝑜𝑓𝑖) The progress has been steady and thanks to the Ministry of Infrastructure Development (MID) and the responsible construction company, the Marara Calvet is on its way to completion.  The construction of the new calvet was deemed necessary after the heavy downpour earlier this year cut off the main road that connects Auki to Hauhui in South Road. This caused significant inconveniences for transportation, forcing passengers to take two-way trucks and adding cost and discomfort to their travel.  The situation worsened when the villagers near the area improvised a path to cross the gap, demanding excessive fees from truck owners and further adding to the transportation issue. The Wuo tribe in Fataleka, located in the Malaita Province today held a momentous reunion ceremony at the Tasisi community. This two-day event aimed to reconcile the tribe and reconnect their families in order to create a stronger sense of unity and preserve their cultural heritage for future generations.    𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒆𝒍 𝑺𝒖𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒊 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑾𝒖𝒐 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒆 𝒄𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈       𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒄𝒂𝒌𝒆.
